Why Heritage Vine in Los Angeles?
Wine cellars are specialist work — different from residential HVAC, different from cabinetry, different from finish carpentry. Most cellars we're called to repair were originally specified by generalist contractors or builders who treated the cellar as a finishing detail rather than a thermal envelope.
We engineer cellars around their cooling systems and racking — not around them. Every project is engineered for worst-case Southern California ambient conditions, with continuous vapor barriers, premium insulation, and cooling systems matched to the load. We spec from Wine Guardian, WhisperKool, CellarPro, or LRC depending on the install.
Our Heritage Series racking is fabricated in our own workshop in oak, sapele, walnut, or alder — not assembled from prefab kits.
For Los Angeles collectors and hospitality groups planning serious cellars, we'd rather be on the project at the design stage than be called in to repair what was built without specialist engineering.

A: Wine cellars require specialist engineering most generalist builders don't do regularly. Heritage Vine has been designing and installing custom wine cellars exclusively for over 16 years. Every cellar we build is engineered around its cooling system and structural envelope before any racking is drawn. Our Heritage Series racking is fabricated in our own workshop in oak, sapele, walnut, and alder — not assembled from prefab kits.
A: A properly engineered custom cellar typically adds value to high-end Los Angeles properties — both in real estate market terms and in lifestyle and entertaining terms. Generalist or DIY cellars often subtract value because they fail and become repair liabilities. The difference is in the engineering, not the aesthetic.
A: Yes. Most of our Los Angeles residential work is retrofit and remodel — Beverly Hills estates, Malibu beachfront properties, Hollywood Hills renovations, Bel Air remodels. The engineering challenges (vapor barrier integrity, cooling system sizing for Southern California's coastal-to-inland climate, electrical and ventilation routing) are why specialist installation matters.
